SOUND FAMILIAR?

WHAT YOUR SUSPENSION IS TELLING YOU

Steering feels loose or the wheel wanders on its own. A worn ball joint or tie rod can fail outright. Get it checked before you drive far.

Clunks or knocks over bumps. Usually a worn joint, bushing, or sway bar link. Not an emergency today, but it doesn't heal itself.

Nose-dives when braking or keeps bouncing after a bump. Tired shocks or struts. They also stretch your stopping distance, so worth doing soon.

Tires wearing unevenly or cupping. Often worn suspension letting the tire dance. Bring it by when you can and we'll trace the cause.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SHOP

HOW SUSPENSION WORK GOES HERE

01

ON THE LIFT, BY HAND

We check ball joints, tie rods, struts, springs, bushings, and sway bar links for real play, not just a glance.

02

SEE THE WORN PART

We bring you in and show you the movement in the bad joint. Then the estimate, and you decide.

03

FIXED AND POINTED STRAIGHT

Worn parts replaced and an alignment after, since new parts change the geometry. 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty.

Suspension pricing depends on the vehicle and which parts are worn, so we quote it after we've seen it. Call with your year, make, and model for a ballpark, and the diagnostic fee is waived when we do the repair.

Why suspension wear sneaks up on you

It fails a little at a time, and you adjust without noticing. Then one day a friend drives your car and asks what that noise is. Worn suspension stretches stopping distance, chews tires, and makes emergency swerves scarier than they should be. Catching one bad joint early is a lot cheaper than replacing the tires it ruined.

West Valley roads don't help

Potholes and winter-beat pavement are hard on ball joints, bushings, and struts. If your daily route includes a stretch you brace for, your suspension has been absorbing it every single day. A quick check on the lift tells you where things stand.

GOOD TO KNOW

SUSPENSION QUESTIONS WE HEAR A LOT

WHAT'S THE CLUNK WHEN I GO OVER BUMPS?

Most often a worn sway bar link, ball joint, or strut mount. We find it by putting the car on the lift and checking each joint for play, then we show you.

IS IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH A BAD BALL JOINT?

A badly worn one, yes. If it separates, the wheel can fold under the car. That's why loose steering is the one suspension symptom we say not to sit on.

HOW LONG DO SHOCKS AND STRUTS LAST?

Usually 50,000 to 100,000 miles, less on rough roads. If the ride got floaty or the nose dives when you brake, they're probably due.

DO I NEED AN ALIGNMENT AFTER SUSPENSION WORK?

Almost always, yes. New parts change the steering geometry, and skipping the alignment eats the tires you just protected.
