EMISSIONS TESTING & ON THE SPOT RENEWAL IN WEST VALLEY CITY
The emissions test is $45 here, takes about 20 minutes, and with On the Spot renewal you drive off with the sticker already on your plate. If your car fails and we repair it, your retest within 30 days is free.

BEFORE YOU COME IN
Your check engine light is on. That's an automatic fail. Come by first and we'll scan it for free, fix what's causing it, and then test.
You just cleared a code or replaced the battery. Your car's monitors reset and the test will reject it as "not ready." Drive 100 to 200 mixed miles first.
Registration due this week? Come in the morning if you can. Walk-ins welcome, and most cars are done in about 20 minutes.
Everything running normal? Then it's the easiest $45 errand of your month. Test, renew, sticker on the plate, done.

DRIVE IN, NO APPOINTMENT
We're an official Salt Lake County emission inspection station on Redwood Rd, right by the Redwood Junction TRAX station.

TESTED IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES
Wait in the lobby or grab a coffee nearby. The fee is the same whether you pass or fail.

STICKER ON YOUR PLATE
On the Spot renewal means no DMV line and no waiting for the mail. Registration renewed in the same visit.
The test is $45. If your car fails and we do the repair, the county requires the re-inspection within 30 days to be free, and that's exactly how we do it.
Why test here instead of a test-only station?
A test-only lane can tell you that you failed. We can tell you why, show you the part, fix it, and run your free retest, all in the same building. If you pass, you were in and out in 20 minutes with your sticker on the plate either way.
What your $45 covers
The inspection itself, the county paperwork, and the On the Spot renewal service that prints your registration sticker right here. The fee is the same whether you pass or fail, which is how Salt Lake County requires it. No surprises.
If you failed somewhere else
Bring the failed report with you. We'll scan the car for free, explain what the failure actually means in plain language, and give you an estimate before any work starts. You shouldn't have to just take our word for it, so we'll show you what we find.
