WHAT WE SEE WALK IN THE DOOR
Check engine light is flashing. A flashing light usually means a misfire that can damage the catalytic converter. Pull over when it's safe and call us.
Car won't start. Could be the battery, starter, or something in between. We'll test the whole chain instead of guessing at parts.
Check engine light is on steady. You can usually keep driving, but come by for the free scan soon. It's also an automatic emissions fail until it's fixed.
Electrical gremlins. Flickering lights, dead windows, random warnings, things that only act up sometimes. Intermittent problems are our specialty, not our excuse.

WE FIND THE CAUSE, NOT JUST THE CODE
A code points at a system, not a part. We test wiring, sensors, battery, and charging to find what's actually broken.

YOU DECIDE
Real estimate before any work. If we do the repair, the diagnostic fee is waived and the fix carries our 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty.
The check engine scan is free. If deeper diagnosis is needed we'll tell you before we start, and the diagnostic fee is waived when we do the repair.
Why the free scan matters
A lot of check engine lights turn out to be small. A loose gas cap, a tired sensor, a code left over from a battery change. Scanning it costs us five minutes and costs you nothing, and it means you never have to wonder whether the light is serious. If it is serious, you'll know exactly what you're dealing with before you decide anything.
Electrical problems are different
Mechanical problems usually stay broken so you can find them. Electrical ones come and go, which is why they frustrate so many shops into just swapping parts. We trace the circuit, test the actual components, and fix the wire, connector, or module that's really at fault. It takes the right tools and it takes patience, and it beats paying for parts you didn't need.

IS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SCAN REALLY FREE?
Yes. Pulling the codes and explaining them costs you nothing. If tracking down the cause takes real diagnostic time, we'll tell you before we start.
CAN I KEEP DRIVING WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON?
If it's on steady and the car runs normal, usually yes for a short while. If it's flashing, no, that can wreck your catalytic converter.
THE PARTS STORE ALREADY SCANNED IT. WHY DO I NEED YOU?
A code tells you which system complained, not which part failed. Replacing parts by code is how people spend hundreds without fixing the problem. We test before we replace.
MY PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENS SOMETIMES. CAN YOU STILL FIND IT?
Usually, yes. Intermittent electrical problems take patience and the right equipment, and we have both. Tell us exactly when it acts up, that helps a lot.
