SOUND FAMILIAR?
SIGNS YOUR COOLING SYSTEM NEEDS A LOOK
Temperature gauge in the red or steam from the hood. Pull over and shut it off. Driving an overheating engine even a few miles can warp the head. Call us before you drive it in.
A sweet smell or a green, orange, or pink puddle. That's coolant leaking. It might be a hose clamp, it might be the water pump. Worth finding out this week, not next month.
Coolant level slowly dropping between checks. A slow loss usually means a small leak starting somewhere. Bring it by when you can and we'll pressure test it.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE SHOP
HOW WE HANDLE A COOLING PROBLEM
01
PRESSURE TEST FIRST
We pressurize the system and watch where it lets go. No guessing, no throwing parts at it.
02
WE SHOW YOU THE LEAK
Radiator, water pump, thermostat, hose. You see the actual part and the estimate before any work starts.
03
FIXED AND WARRANTIED
Everything we install carries our 1 year / 12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor.
Cooling repairs range from a simple hose to a radiator or water pump, so pricing varies by vehicle. Call with your year, make, and model and we'll give you a real estimate.
Why early beats late
A worn hose or a sticking thermostat is a quick, inexpensive fix. But the same small leak, left alone through a Utah summer, can overheat the engine and warp the head. That's the difference between a repair you barely notice and one you really feel. If your coolant level keeps dropping, that's the moment to come in.
GOOD TO KNOW
COOLING QUESTIONS WE HEAR A LOT
CAN I DRIVE WITH THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE RUNNING HOT?
No. Overheating can warp the cylinder head or blow the head gasket in just a few miles, and that turns a cheap repair into a big one. Shut it off and call us.
WHY DOES MY CAR SMELL SWEET?
That syrupy sweet smell is almost always coolant leaking onto something hot. It means the system is losing fluid, so have it checked soon.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD COOLANT BE REPLACED?
Most vehicles call for it every 50,000 to 100,000 miles depending on the coolant type. Old coolant turns acidic and eats radiators and water pumps from the inside.
