SIGNS YOUR EXHAUST NEEDS A LOOK
Exhaust smell inside the cabin. A leak ahead of the cabin can let carbon monoxide in. Crack the windows, limit driving, and get it checked right away.
Sudden roar or a much louder engine. Usually a rusted-through pipe, a failed gasket, or a muffler letting go. It won't heal, and it usually spreads.
Rattle or buzz under the car. Often a loose heat shield or a worn hanger. Cheap to fix, annoying to live with. Bring it by when you can.

EXHAUST QUESTIONS WE HEAR A LOT
IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH AN EXHAUST LEAK?
Short trips with the windows cracked, maybe. But exhaust fumes carry carbon monoxide, and a leak near the front of the car can pull them into the cabin. Get it checked soon.
WILL AN EXHAUST LEAK FAIL MY EMISSIONS TEST?
It can. A leak upstream of the oxygen sensors throws off the readings and can trigger a check engine light, which is an automatic fail. Fixing the leak first saves you a retest.
DO I NEED A WHOLE NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM?
Usually not. Most of the time one pipe section, gasket, or muffler is the problem, and we can replace just that. We'll show you what's actually failed.
